WT's Annual
World Music Festival

West Texas A&M University School of Music presents "World Music Festival". Plans call for an annual festival in which the university community, as well as residents of Amarillo, Canyon, and the surrounding region, will explore the vast musical offering of different countries. Plans for the future festivals include the music of Italy, England, Australia, Eastern Europe, and many more.

The festival founder is Mila Abbasova, Professor of Music Theory and Class Piano at WTAMU School of Music. Ms. Abbasova has extensive experience in organizing and presenting concerts and music festivals.

A note from the founder:

"Recognizing that cultural diversity and appreciation are major contributors to a healthy arts program and university environment, we anticipate that the event will be a highlight of the school year for students and faculty alike. We want to celebrate all cultures around the globe."
